Born in Yarrawonga within Victoria, Australia. Her father James Ernest Curtis-Smith got married to Ojales in 1982. The older sibling Jasmine is also an actor. Clare is a cousin of theirs on the death of their father. Clare passed away at 4 months of age in 2007 after suffering from an cardiovascular disease.
